Altos de Chavón, Dominican Republic

While browsing through this year's images, I came across these photographs from our trip to Dominican Republic. I thought I would share a few of them I took while visiting Altos de Chavón in La Romana.

Altos de Chavón  is a beautiful shopping/art/culture area which was built on a cliff overlooking the Río Chavón and designed looking like a 16th century Mediterranean village. This area includes a museum, a 5,000-seat amphitheatre, artists' studios, galleries, as well as many shops and restaurants.
