Colorful Festivities

One thing this celebration did not lack, was color- all shades and hues. We were surrounded by beautiful saris, gorgeous flowers and the dim light of tall tealight candle center pieces.

We celebrated our good friend's parents' 60th Birthday with dancing, chatting away, drinking, and enjoying very tasty Indian cuisine! Cheers!

Altos de Chavón, Dominican Republic

While browsing through this year's images, I came across these photographs from our trip to Dominican Republic. I thought I would share a few of them I took while visiting Altos de Chavón in La Romana.

Altos de Chavón  is a beautiful shopping/art/culture area which was built on a cliff overlooking the Río Chavón and designed looking like a 16th century Mediterranean village. This area includes a museum, a 5,000-seat amphitheatre, artists' studios, galleries, as well as many shops and restaurants.
All that surrounded by breathtaking views...

The Morristown Club

The Morristown Club is the oldest members-only social clubs in New Jersey. It is part of a private network of over 100 fine clubs throughout the United States and abroad.

The stately brick townhouse at 27 Elm Street presents a stylish setting as well as a warm and inviting atmosphere with working fireplaces, brass chandeliers and fine architectural details. The club features an elegant main dining room, smaller intimate meeting rooms, a bar and cocktail lounge, card room and outdoor dining on two beautiful porches. ~ http://morristownclub.net.

Here are a few images of the historic club.
