... And The Sea...

As the air gets crisp and cool and the temperatures are dropping, I like going back to the warmer days.
This summer we took a trip to the Baltic Sea while visiting my family in Poland.

Our destination- Sopot, is a seaside city and spa resort known for its clean and sandy beaches. The city has been a favorite vacation spot for Poles and many other Europeans.  Along with neighboring Gdańsk and Gdynia, Sopot forms the Tri-City (Trójmiasto).

We enjoyed the balmy July weather, relaxing on the beach in the afternoon and admiring beautiful sunsets on 'The Molo' in the evening.
'Molo' is Europe's longest wooden pier- it is 511.5 meters (1678 ft) and it stretches out into the Gdańsk Bay.
The pier is the site of many events, such as concerts, sports shows and art exhibitions, as well as an outdoor movie theater we were able to enjoy.

One afternoon while feeling a little adventurous we went sailing on one of the beautiful catamarans docked at the pier. The smell of the salt water, cool wind blowing through our hair while admiring the picturesque views of the coast... were the perfect highlight of the day.
